As an Owner Operator, you will leverage your own tractor-trailer to deliver freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. Your expertise in various types of freight and driving conditions will ensure timely deliveries, exceptional customer service, and operational success. Duties Operate your own tractor-trailer, including manual transmission trucks, to transport freight across regional or national routes Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring secure handling of refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, or other specialized trailers Safely drive and navigate different types of trucks including dump trucks and tractor-trailers, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Manage route driving efficiently by planning optimal delivery schedules and maintaining timely pickups and deliveries Conduct pre-trip inspections on your vehicle to ensure mechanical soundness and compliance with safety standards Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse personnel to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, freight details, and delivery documentation in compliance with federal regulations Experience Proven experience as a commercial driver with a focus on truck driving, including delivery driver experience preferred Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently Familiarity with transporting various types of freight such as refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, or roll-off containers Experience in load & unload operations using forklifts or other equipment is advantageous Knowledge of route planning, load securing techniques, and safety procedures for different trailer types Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with endorsements relevant to the equipment operated (e.g., tanker, flatbed) Prior experience working with freight that requires specific handling or special equipment is a plus Join us as an Owner Operator Truck Driver and take control of your career!
