Select: Search Jobs | Search Resumes | Post Job | Edit Job | Post Resume | About JobMatch Job Available 8/21/23: Position: Technician– Transloading Facility Location: Baltimore, MD Experience: 0-1 years Salary: full time The person in this position transfers bulk and liquid commodities between railcar and truck and processes various administrative responsibilities at the Canton Railroad’s Boston Street transload facility in Baltimore, Maryland. RESPONSIBILITIES • Coordinate truck and railcar deliveries • Plan and manage the safe operations of external trucks while operating in the facility • Transfer commodities between railcars and trucks, weigh trucks and other related activities • Be responsible for terminal safety and compliance issues, including MOSH, FD, MDE and Department of Agriculture requirements • Professionally interface with customers and monitor the quality of service in accordance with the terms of any applicable contractual arrangements • Maintain all equipment necessary to operate the facility • Be responsible for general housekeeping and maintenance of the facility • Be responsible for all administrative and clerical functions • Assist with other projects and perform other duties as assigned • Subject to random drug testing – Canton Railroad is a zero-tolerance environment REQUIRED SKILLS AND/OR EXPERIENCE • Ability to operate forklifts • Ability to work in an outdoor working condition during all kinds of weather • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office suite) • Prior transload experience is preferred, but not necessary • Mechanical aptitude helpful, but not required REQUIRED EDUCATION AND/OR CREDENTIALS • GED, high school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience • Valid driver's license Job Posted By: Canton Railroad Co. 1841 South Newkirk Street Baltimore, MD  21224 cantonrr.com Direct Resume To: Director, Human Resources   edit job
