Select: Search Jobs | Search Resumes | Post Job | Edit Job | Post Resume | About JobMatch Job Available 2/8/23: Position: Intermodal dispatcher Location: Highland, IN Experience: Salary: $65,000.00/ year Intermodal Operations Specialist/ Dispatcher This is an entry level role where you will learn the ins and outs of intermodal operations and dispatch. You will master the basics and then be expected to take on more responsibility in day to day operations. You will be the right hand to the operations manager and will learn the entire operation. We are growing and looking for someone to grow with us for the long term. Duties: • Enter orders in TMS as they come in • Trace inbound containers on multiple times per day • Provide pricing for services upon request via email • Assist Operations Manager in responding to delivery status inquiries via email and phone • Learn where all intermodal depots/yards and steamship line return locations • Dispatch and route 6-10 Drivers on a daily basis • Guide and help drivers' problem solve and resolute drivers' contact issues via text or email • Anticipate, identify, and resolve problems that delay the release or delivery of containers • Process Empty Rail Billing • Process Loaded Rail Billing • Collect and Process Driver Paperwork • Set delivery appts • Continuously improve operational processes to gain efficiencies and reduce issues • Continuously learn and take on more duties as Operations Manager monitors progress Key Qualifications: • High School diploma/equivalent, Bachelor's degree preferred • Quick learner • Willing to take on more tasks as you master them • Understanding of applicable safety and commercial regulations • Multi-tasking skills in a fast-moving and changing environment • Excellent written and verbal communications and ability to perform with grace under pressure • Passion for problem-solving • Smiling face We Offer • Competitive Pay • Calm and fun work environment.
