I managed 18 intermodal maintenance mechanics on a Union Pacific Railroad operating 24/7 365 repairing intermodal equipment for Pacer, Kline, APL, and Union Pacific. My duties included hiring and termination of personnel, payroll. I surveyed, estimated, got approval, supervised repair, and processed bills for payment both electronically and paper bill. I managed a fleet of ten vehicles including semi trucks, mobile repair trucks, welders, air compressors, parts & tire inventory and company vehicles. I was manager of an intermodal fleet of trailers owned by General Electric and leased by UPS, the fleet had over 2000 trailers which I inspected, estimated, determined liability, assigned work out, issued purchased order numbers for payment, and performed audits after the work was completed.
