EMPLOYMENT SUMMARY 2004-2008 EDS DEMAND MANAGEMENT & DISTRIBTION Chicago, Illinois ACTING LEADER-DEC. 2007 – SEPT. 2008 TRAFFIC COORDINATOR • Load planning, coordination of LTL shipments released and processing of all shipping documents for QSP Food & Gift shipments • Participate or audit operational conference calls pertaining to the client(s). • Acting Supervisor • Run open order, Manifest Planning & Shipping Schedule Reports in SAP. • Work to support all Food Distribution activities, as Required on Daily Basis, including, but not limited to: *Order Release – maintained in QSP’s AS400 *Order Resolution/problem Solving *QSP Order Returns *Receive Summary of Orders Release *Receive/enter Food Order shipping information in AS400. *Warehouse Contacts 1995-2004 WORLDS FINEST CHOCOLATE CO. Chicago, Illinois TRAFFIC COORDINATOR • Coordinate and monitor less than truckload (LTL) and truckload (TL) shipments for the on-time, intact delivery of customer orders at a competitive rate. • Route and monitor all inbound and outbound shipments to insure on time delivery. Troubleshoot and/or expedite routings, as necessary. • Interact with internal and external personnel on transportation related inquiries such as tracing, proof of delivery, expediting etc. Maintain good customer relations with carriers and outside vendors. • Audit actual vs. planned transportation expenditures for accuracy. • Coordinate import/export shipments and create all required documentation including but not limited to: bills of lading, commercial invoices, etc. • Prepare all transportation documents required for shipments within the U.S.A. • Negotiate additional individual carrier rate discounts including accessorial charges for additional freight cost savings. • Prepare, update and maintain the annual North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) for all import and export shipments to and from Canada. • Coordinate the documentation for the transportation and storage of imported cocoa beans. Investigate and resolve all freight carrier exceptions-claims. • Coordinate the completion of all ocean cargo insurance reports required monthly for the imported shipment of cocoa beans. • Participate in the quarterly inventory. • Understand the concepts of HACCP, and monitor specific CCPs in the department. • Assist with the departmental projects and duties as needed or requested by director/department head. • Regular contact with all levels of internal personnel. • Represents Company to external suppliers on a regular basis.
